Faculty have started the Fall 2026 semester without a contract because of management's refusal to commit to finishing negotiations before the previous contract expired.

Read about the issues on the table and sign the petition to demand that Chancellor Miranda, President Killeen, and the UI Board of Trustees bargain with faculty in good faith and agree to a fair contract.

The FAST (Faculty & Students Together) Fund is a UICUF-run emergency fund to help UIC undergraduates cover costs necessary to help them complete their education for things like childcare, rent, car repair, medical expenses, and licensure fees.

If you would like to donate to the fund, you can do so at: givebutter.com/uic. In the past 2 years, the FAST fund has given out more than $22,000 in small grants to 99 students. Still, our available funds never match the need. We need donors to make recurring donations so we can continue to help UIC students each year.
